Mindful Movement I: Interoception and Body Awareness
This four part series will examine different aspects of somatic awareness in our yoga practice, allowing time to pause and observe as we move mindfully through asana and meditation.
Our first session will focus on deepening our awareness of physical sensations as mind-body communication, observing bodily signals such as heart rate and body temperature, and using that attunement to guide us to a more embodied practice. We will finish each session with a body-scan focused Yoga Nidra, allowing us to experience this deeper embodiment in both movement and stillness. All levels welcome.
