Breathe Easy: Pranayama and the Human Stress Response with Sarah

Pranayama is the yogic method of controlling, measuring, and directing the breath. Through mastery of our respiratory system, we are able to directly affect a myriad of other physiological systems in the body as well as the state of the mind. In this two-hour workshop, we will move through both theory and practice, incorporating pranayama into our time on the mat as well as discussing how these breathing exercises may be used in our daily lives to help manage stress and improve our ability to stay calm and focused.
