Meridian Yoga Series with Michelle Warren, Morgan Engels and Susan Johnston

These classes will be a two-part series featured each season. They will be expressing the interconnectedness of yoga postures and meridian lines.

 In Chinese Medicine, meridian lines are channels that conduct energy through the body, forming a network. Each of the ten major organs within the body has an associated meridian line, and those lines can be yin or yang in nature. Certain yoga sequences can place the body into openings and stretches that stimulate and nourish certain meridian pathways. 

We will feature one Yin class taught by Morgan Engels and one Yang class taught by Michelle Warren. Susan Johnston, an acupuncturist at Milwaukee Community Acupuncture will be teaching deeper knowledge and understanding of the meridian lines, their associated organs and their connection to the season. 

You will gain insight and knowledge for a deeper study and a home practice. 

Each study is offered on sliding scale: $10-$25




6AM YOGA with Rita Burlingame : Wednesday's June 5th- August 7th

In the morning our mind is fresh and clear- we have the power to choose how we start the day! According to Ayurveda, the health science of yoga, we are most alert when we wake before 6 am.

Vata is the element of wind (breath), and the energy of creativity (flow), and flexibility (mental & physical). Early morning is the perfect time to practice to set the pace and energy of our day.

Practice will consist of warm ups, sun salutation, and a few passive yin releases. Doors open at 5:45am, class starts at 6:00am. Show up in your PJ's and bring your coffees...you CAN do it.

10-week series sliding scale $50-$150.

Preregistration = Motivation, BUT drop ins ARE welcome.
